Dakota, our 12-year-old princess warrior had her first open heart surgery at 6 days old. Her main heart defect is HPLV (she is missing the left ventricle in her heart). As that battle continues, a liver issues has arisen and this year a golf size tumor was found on her brain pushing her brain stem. After the 2nd MRI, the doctors concluded because of the sorosis of her liver she is not a candidate for brain surgery to remove the tumor. The blood clotting issues are preventing any type of surgery to remove the brain tumor. Thank God, currently there is no new growth in the tumor. She continues to smile and live her “normal” life. Dakota is a happy kid. She is animal loving-fish catching-horse riding-amusement park junky.
